Politecnico di Milano and Centro Cardiologico Monzino have signed a framework agreement for scientific research that will strengthen the role of the two institutions in the panorama of high-tech medical science.
The agreement will involve Profs. Alberto Redaelli, Monica Soncini, Valentina Corino and Linda Pattini from DEIB’s Bioengineering Research Area and provides for:
The agreement will make it possible to carry out joint projects with a high scientific and technological profile subject of joint publications with a high impact factor, applications for funding for competitive calls such as Horizon Europe, to attract industry investments and to obtain joint patents.
The joint research center represents the culminating point of a collaboration that got stronger over the years and has proven to be extremely profitable for both the parties involved. The fast technological evolution in the field of diagnosis and treatment has turned the cooperation between doctors and engineers into a strategic element for a conscious and efficient use of new digital and data analysis tools, and of the so-called enabling technologies. The joint research center sanctions this transformation and aims to become one of the top innovation laboratories in the field of training, research and care, testifying to the Politecnico di Milano’s commitment on the theme of people’s health and well-being.
