The European Commission has signed a grant agreement to fund EBRAINS with €38 million until 2026. Over the next three years, the research infrastructure – which includes the Politecnico di Milano as one of its partners – will continue to develop tools and services to widely serve research communities in neurosciences, brain medicine, and brain-inspired technologies.

Cybersecurity: Google Selected One of DEIB's Projects
A team from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano, coordinated by Prof. Stefano Zanero and Prof. Michele Carminati, in partnership with Università Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, has been selected for a 1 million euro grant as part of the Google.org Impact Challenge ‘Tech for Social Good’, an initiative sponsored by the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency and aimed to foster projects that use Artificial Intelligence for fighting against cyber-attacks.
A New Patent for the Control of Industrial Steam Generators
Prof. Luca Ferrarini from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano, in collaboration with the company Bono Energia, has registered a patent on a new predictive control scheme for industrial steam generators.
#StayChargedEDU: A New Collaboration Between Energica and DEIB
A team of researchers coordinated by Prof. Sergio Matteo Savaresi and Prof. Giulio Panzani of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano is collaborating with Energica Motor Company, a Modena-based company leader in the sector of high-performance electric motorcycles and system integration for electric vehicles, for an innovative "robo-rider" project for motorcycles, in order to develop assisted driving technology also on two-wheeled vehicles.
HFCLab: The First Laboratory for High-Frequency Radio Networks
The High Frequency Campus Lab – HFCLab was inaugurated at the Politecnico di Milano. The new laboratory, headed by Prof. Antonio Capone and Prof. Umberto Spagnolini of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, aims to develop an open experimental platform dedicated to high-frequency radio access networks, including millimeter-wave frequencies exploited by 5G technology.
1000-MAD: the Politecnico di Milano Self-Driving Car at the 1000 Miglia Race
The research group of Prof. Sergio Matteo Savaresi from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano coordinates the 1000 Miglia Autonomous Drive project, called 1000-MAD. The project is linked to the 1000 Miglia 2023 race, that embodies the history of world motoring and this year will be kicked-off by an autonomous driving car, symbol of the future.
